Summary

When you use the Laserfiche Administration Console to register a repository or to create a new repository, you may receive one of the following error messages:

Unable to launch Laserfiche Repository Wizard. LfAdmin.dll must be in the same directory as MakeLFRP.exe.(2)

The Laserfiche Repository Creation wizard is missing and therefore cannot be launched. Please reinstall the Laserfiche client with this feature and then try again

Cause

The Laserfiche client was installed with a setup type that does not include the Laserfiche Repository Creation wizard. This utility is necessary when registering repositories or creating new repositories.

Resolution

Modify the current Laserfiche client installation to include the Laserfiche Repository Creation wizard.

To modify the current Laserfiche client installation

1. Click Start and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
3. Select Laserfiche Client 7.x and click Change to load the Laserfiche Client 7.x - InstallShield wizard.
4. On the Welcome step, click Next.
5. On the Program Maintenance step, select the Modify option and click Next.
6. On the Custom Setup step, Make sure the Repository Creation Wizard option is selected for installation and then click Next
7. On the Ready to Modify the Program step, click Install to install the Laserfiche Repository Creation wizard.
8. When the process finishes, click Finish to close the InstallShield wizard.
