Summary
When you click on an electronic document from the browse view, WebLink loads the document view window. You must then click the Download Electronic File button in the toolbar to open ElectronicFile.aspx and download the electronic file. WebLink does not support directly linking to ElectronicFile.aspx.
Resolution
There is a hotfix available for WebLink 7.0.3 or 7.0.4. The fix is an updated version of ElectronicFile.aspx (last modified on February 17, 2006).
To update WebLink 7.0.x
The fix allows a user to pass a query with an electronic document's ID to the ElectronicFile.aspx page. The URL syntax is as follows:
http://Hostname/weblink7/ElectronicFile.aspx?dbid=db&docid=y
Hostname is the name of the computer hosting WebLink. The value db specifies the dbid value of the WebLink repository configuration you want to use. The value y specifies the ID of the desired electronic document.
Note: You can view the dbid for a repository configuration by loading the Laserfiche WebLink 7 Configuration Utility.
Note: You can view the ID number for a document by configuring the WebLink contents pane to display the ID column.
