Summary

When you try to run the Snapshot Configuration (Shared Printer) utility, you may receive the following error message:

An unhandled win32 exception occurred in snapshot.exe [3904]

Cause

This error can arise when Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 is not properly installed on the computer hosting the Snapshot printer.

Resolution

Reinstall Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1.

To uninstall and reinstall Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1

1. Use the Windows Add or Remove Programs tool to uninstall Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1.
2. Use the Windows Update utility to download and install Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1.
