Summary

The text boxes in the Attach Repository dialog box opened from the Start Page of Laserfiche client 7 do not scroll. This results in an unintended restriction on the length of the server or repository name that can be specified when attaching a repository through this dialog box.

Resolution 1

This issue is resolved in Laserfiche client 7.1.2. Please upgrade to the latest version of Laserfiche.

Resolution 2

There is a hotfix available for Laserfiche client 7.1.1. The fix is an updated version of LF.exe. This fix is included in LF.exe (version 7.1.1.420 and later). The text boxes in the Attach Repository dialog box can now scroll, allowing you to input longer server or repository names.

Note: This issue is present in all version of Laserfiche 7; however, the hotfix is only available for Laserfiche client 7.1.1. If you are encountering this problem while using an earlier version of Laserfiche client 7, please update your Laserfiche client to 7.1.1 before applying this hotfix.

To update Laserfiche client 7.1.1

1. Close any open Laserfiche client instances on the workstation which is being updated.
2. Click here to download a zip file containing LF.exe (version 7.1.1.420).
3. Replace the LF.exe file located in the Laserfiche client installation folder with the updated version. By default, Laserfiche client is installed at C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Client.
