Summary

PDFs downloaded from WebLink may not open. After the Download PDF button is clicked, the "WebLink is creating a PDF..." screen is displayed, but WebLink may return to the document view without displaying a PDF. This article describes the cause and resolution for this issue.

Cause

PDFs downloaded by clicking the Download PDF button are opened in a new browser window. Pop-up blocking software can prevent that window from opening.

Resolution

In order to download PDFs through WebLink, you will need to either disable your pop-up blocking software or configure it to accept pop-ups from your WebLink web site. Some pop-up blockers, such as the pop-up blocker integrated with Microsoft Internet Explorer, allow the Web site to open browser windows that would otherwise be blocked if the CTRL key is pressed when the link or button is clicked. Consult your browser or pop-up blocker documentation for more information on permitting pop-ups from your WebLink web site.
