This article describes the process of renaming a repository. The safest way to rename a repository is to unregister it using the Laserfiche Administration Console, and then re-register
it using the new name.
Use the Laserfiche Administration Console to rename a repository.
To rename a repository
- Load the Laserfiche Administration Console.
- Expand the appropriate Laserfiche Server.
- Expand the Repositories item.
- Select the repository you wish to rename.
- From the Action menu, point to All Tasks and then click Unregister Repository.
- Click Yes when prompted to confirm the unregistration.
- Enter the Laserfiche system manager password and click Ok.
- Click the Repositories item.
- From the Action menu, point to All Tasks and then click Register Repository. This will start the Laserfiche Repository Registration wizard. Click Next.
The Connect to a Laserfiche Server step will appear.
- Select the appropriate Laserfiche Server name and authentication information.
- Select the appropriate DBMS.
- Click Next. The Laserfiche Specific Settings step will appear.
- Specify the new repository name, and the repository path for the repository you are renaming.
- Click Next. The SQL Server Specific Settings or Oracle Database Specific Settings step will appear.
- Specify the appropriate DBMS information and click Next to display a summary of the parameters that will be used to register the repository.
- Verify that all the settings are correct and then click Finish to register the repository with the new name.
