Summary

When specifying a database or volume path, you should keep in mind that qualified paths are relative to the computer hosting the LaserFiche Server. If you are creating a LaserFiche database, the path specified under Directory should be a path on the computer hosting the LaserFiche Server. For example, if "D:\LFWDB001" were specified as the location for a new database, then the database would be located in a folder called "LFWDB001" on the server's D drive.

Note: If the LaserFiche Server and the Microsoft SQL Server are hosted on different computers, then different aspects of the database will be stored on different computers. For detailed information, please refer to the Database Backup chapter in the LaserFiche Administrator's Reference.
