Summary

The license of the LaserFiche Server determines the SQL Server instance name that it will use.

LaserFiche Group\M Group: The LaserFiche Server setup will automatically install an instance of MSDE. MSDE can be found under Services as "MSSQL$LaserFiche".

LaserFiche Standard\Enterprise: The LaserFiche Server setup requires the ability to communicate with the Microsoft SQL Server. Microsoft SQL Server can be found under Services as "MSSQLSERVER".
