Summary
There is a silently enforced limit for common stamps. Starting from LaserFiche version 6.04, you can have up to 50 common stamps per database. Although you may be able add more common stamps, they will not be stored in the database.
Symptoms
A newly created common stamp is not available for use.
Workaround
Additional stamps can be added by removing existing common stamps.
If you have exceeded the common stamp limit during the current session, then in addition to removing existing common stamps you will need to log out and then log back into the database before you will be allowed to add additional common stamps.
More Information
The Choose a Stamp dialog box does not prevent you from creating more common stamps than can be supported by a LaserFiche database. Although common stamps will seem to be created, no additional common stamps will be saved in the database once the common stamp limit has been reached. The user that created the offending common stamp can place it on the image. However, it will be stored in the database as a single use stamp, instead of as a common stamp.
Prior to LaserFiche version 6.04, the silent limit for common stamps was 20. If you would like to add more than 20 common stamps to your database, then you will need to upgrade LaserFiche to version 6.04 or higher.
