Summary

The ability to write to the system temporary directory is required when performing OCR. Users that have not been granted the Window's Write right to the system temporary directory will not be able to OCR LaserFiche documents.

The location of the temporary directory used by the system is specified by the Temp system variable. System variables can be viewed from the System option in the Control Panel.
