Summary

Modifying a user's properties immediately after reassigning the user's feature rights will reset the user's feature rights to the last saved configuration.

Workaround

There are two workarounds to this issue. Each of which are discussed below.

1. Modify a user's properties prior to modifying the user's feature rights. Modifications to a user's properties are immediately saved. This means that modifying the feature rights will not wipe out the changes made to the user's properties.
2. Save a user's feature rights prior to modifying the user's properties. There are several ways to save recently modified feature rights.
   • One way to save security changes for a particular user is to select another user after modifying a user's feature rights. LaserFiche will prompt to save the modification to the user's feature rights.
   • Another way to save a user's feature rights is to dismiss the User Manager dialog box by clicking OK.
