Summary

Certain issues when using the Laserfiche E-mail plug-in are issues with Microsoft Outlook rather than with the E-mail plug-in. Two common issues are:

  • The signature does not automatically appear in the e-mail.
  • The main Outlook window is not available when composing an e-mail.

One way to tell whether an issue is with the E-mail plug-in or with Outlook is to test the sending of an e-mail from an Office Suite application.

To test the Send To Mail Recipient (as Attachment) option

  1. Open a document in Microsoft Word.
  2. From the File menu, point to Sent To and then select Mail Recipient (as Attachment).

If you observe the same issue as when you use the E-mail plug-in, the issue is most likely due to Microsoft Outlook.
