Using Windows Group Policy to Configure Internet Explorer to Automatically Download Signed ActiveX Controls.

November 28, 2005 | KB: 1001099
Web Access 7

Summary

Web Access includes optional signed ActiveX controls that provide additional functionality. The thumbnail management utility allows users to rearrange pages within the current document, move thumbnails between documents, and to import images into an existing document. The web scan utility allows users to scan images as a new document using TWAIN scanner drivers.

The security settings for Internet Explorer can be configured to automatically install these signed ActiveX controls. The security settings for Internet Explorer can be configured from the Security tab of the Internet Options dialog box. However, it can become tedious to manually modify this setting on each computer that will load the Web Access web site.
