Summary

Reindexing a repository immediately after you have modified the stop word list does not have any effect on the search index.

Cause

Upon start-up, the Laserfiche Server creates an internal copy of the stop word list. This internal copy is not immediately modified when a user changes the stop word list through the Laserfiche Administration Console.

Workaround

After modifying the stop word list, you must first restart the Laserfiche Server before reindexing the repository.

To restart the Laserfiche Server

  1. Click Start, navigate to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, and select Services.
  2. Scroll down and select Laserfiche Server 7.x
  3. From the Action menu, click Restart.
