Removing a User From a Group May Prevent Routing to that Rotating Group Destination.

Summary

Removing a user from a rotating group can cause a null pointer exception and prevent Workflow Suite from correctly routing to the different users in the rotating group destination.

Resolution 1

This issue is resolved in Laserfiche Workflow Suite 7.0.1. Please upgrade to the latest version of Workflow Suite.

Resolution 2

There are hotfixes available for Workflow Suite 6.1 and 7.0. The fix is an updated version of WorkDistribution.jar (last modified on June 23, 2005).

To update Workflow Suite 7.0

  1. Stop the Laserfiche Server Automation service.
    1. Click Start, navigate to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, and select Services.
    2. Scroll down and select Laserfiche Server Automation.
    3. From the Action menu, click Stop.
  2. Click here to download a zip file containing an updated version of WorkDistribution.jar.
  3. Replace the WorkDistribution.jar file located in the Agents subfolder of your Server Automation installation folder with the WorkDistribution.jar file located in the zip file. By default, it is located at C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\WorkflowSuite\ServerAutomation\Agents.
  4. Restart the Laserfiche Server Automation service.
    1. Click Start, navigate to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, and select Services.
    2. Scroll down and select Laserfiche Server Automation.
    3. From the Action menu, click Start.

To update Workflow Suite 6.1

    1. Click Start, navigate to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, and select Services.
    2. Scroll down and select Laserfiche Server Automation.
    3. From the Action menu, click Stop.
