If a value is not specified for a list field, the default value for the list field always defaults to the first value.

This issue is resolved in Import Agent 7.0.1. Please upgrade to the latest version of Laserfiche Import Agent.

Resolution 2

There is a hotfix available for Import Agent 7.0. The fix is an updated version of TemplateControl.dll. This fix is included in TemplateControl.dll (version 7.0.0.2 and later).

To update Import Agent 7.0

1. Click here to download a zip file containing TemplateControl.dll (version 7.0.0.2).
2. Replace the TemplateControl.dll located in the Import Agent installation folder with the updated version. By default, Import Agent is installed at C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Import Agent 7.

In the original release of Import Agent 7.0, if a value is not specified for a list field, the field defaults to the first item in the list field. With this hotfix, if a value is not specified for a list field, the field defaults to a blank value. However, be aware that there are two types of blank values. When the Add blank to the list option is enabled for a list field through the Laserfiche Administration Console, Laserfiche creates a list field item using a blank space. When the Add blank to the list option is not enabled, Import Agent will substitute a null value.
