Laserfiche for Oracle Will Not Function Without a Valid Copy of OCI.dll.

Summary

OCI.dll is a dll that is included with Oracle clients. Laserfiche for Oracle depends on this dll. Laserfiche for Oracle will not function if this file is missing or is an incorrect version. You may receive the following error messages in the LFS.log:

    [7050] Open repository 'YourRepository' failed: Failed to load database driver for 'OCI': LoadLibrary(LFOCI.DLL) failed. Last error code was 126.

    [7050] Open repository 'YourRepository' failed: Failed to load database driver for 'OCI': LoadLibrary(LFOCI.DLL) failed. Last error code was 127.

Resolution

Check to see that OCI.dll exists on the computer hosting Laserfiche Server. If the file does not exist, you should reinstall the Oracle client. If OCI.dll does exist, check the file version. If the file is not version 9.x.x.x or 10.x.x.x, you may be using an unsupported version of Oracle.
