Integration Express - HTE Known Issues

  • Integration Express - HTE is not supported on Laserfiche client versions 7.0, 7.0.1, or 7.1.0. (22276)
  • When using the Laserfiche Integration Express - HTE configuration utility, the Fields tab of the Category Properties dialog box will only display up to 31 fields. If the selected template contains more than 31 fields, only the first 31 fields will be visible. During the scanning process, you can use Laserfiche Scanning 7 to set field values for the additional fields. (22557)
  • There is no keyboard shortcut to reach the Tokens button in the Fields tab. (21838)
  • Integration Express - HTE does not share a connection if the Laserfiche client is already open and a user is logged into the same repository. (21826)
  • When you attempt to delete a document, Integration Express - HTE will prompt for authentication information for the Laserfiche repository. If the ADMIN user is not associated with a password, you can specify any password. (21701)
  • If a folder contains a document with the same name as the document you are importing from HTE, the document name may be truncated. (21637)
  • Required fields in a template are not supported. (21629)
  • Integration Express - HTE may be unable to log on to a Laserfiche repository. This can be caused by network communication issues on networks broadcasting a large number of Laserfiche repositories. Disable thunking to resolve this issue. Perform one of the following: (17319)
    • Laserfiche Client 6: From a text editor, open the LF.ini files. Locate the [Options] section and add the following line:

      thunk=0

      Save and close the LF.ini file.
    • Laserfiche Client 7: Go to the following registry key:

      HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Laserfiche\Client\Profile\Options

      Add a REG_SZ value named thunk and set it to 0.
  • A "Server not found" Error Occurs When You Click Browse. In order to browse through Laserfiche folders, a connection needs to be established to a Laserfiche repository. However, the desired repository could not be found. There may be a network communications issue. Disable thunking to resolve this issue. Follow the above steps to disable thunking for your version of Laserfiche. (17463)
  • Closing the Laserfiche client in between multiple HTE requests can cause the Laserfiche Client (version 6) to become unstable. (18422)
  • If the Laserfiche client is not loaded when required by Laserfiche Integration Express - HTE, then it will be automatically loaded. If there are a large number of repositories on your network, it may report that the Laserfiche client could not be loaded while it is doing so. (17620)
  • Oracle is not supported. (17495)
  • A list of the items contained by a list field is not provided. List fields have the same appearance as any other field. (17466)
  • Laserfiche tokens are not supported. (17392)
  • After the creation of a Laserfiche document from an HTE record, the Scan a Page dialog box will appear. The selected volume in this dialog box may not accurately reflect the volume assigned to the document. Additionally, modifying the selected volume will not migrate the document to a different volume.
