Summary

Work Distribution Agent (Server Automation) will not function with a repository whose name contains an ampersand (&).

Cause

Work Distribution Agent (Server Automation) does not properly escape ampersands (&) when parsing the repository name. No routing will take place and if you load Work Distribution Agent (Server Automation) in console mode, you will see that the agent becomes stuck in an infinite loop.

Resolution 1

This issue is resolved in Laserfiche Workflow Suite 7.0.1. Please upgrade to the latest version of Workflow Suite.

Resolution 2

There is a hotfix available for Workflow Suite 7.0. The fix is an updated version of EventDB.jar.

To update Laserfiche Workflow Suite

1. Click here to download a zip file containing EventDB.jar.
2. Replace the EventDB.jar found in the ServerAutomation folder of the Workflow Suite installation folder with the EventDB.jar included in the zip file. By default, the file is located at C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\WorkflowSuite\ServerAutomation.
3. Restart the Laserfiche Server Automation service.
   1. Click Start and then click Control Panel.
   2. Double-click Administrative Tools.
   3. Double-click Services.
   4. Scroll down and select Laserfiche Server Automation.
   5. From the Action menu, click Restart.
