Inactivity Notification E-mails are Sent Regardless of Whether a Document is Opened.

Summary

An inactivity notification e-mail is sent even if a user opens the document in question.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in Workflow Suite 7.0 and later. Please upgrade to the latest version of Workflow Suite.

Workaround

There is a hotfix available for Workflow Suite 6.1. The fix is an updated version of EmailNotification.jar.

To update Workflow Suite

  1. Click here to download a zip file containing an updated version of EmailNotification.jar.
  2. Replace the EmailNotification.jar found in the Workflow Suite installation folder. By default, this should be C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\WorkflowSuite\ServerAutomation\agents.
  3. Restart the Server Automation service.
    1. Click Start and then click Control Panel.
    2. Double-click Administrative Tools.
    3. Double-click Services.
    4. Scroll down and select Laserfiche Server Automation.
    5. From the Action menu, click Restart.
