  • 1000807 A "The repository was not found [7023]" Error Occurs When Unregistering a Local Repository. (17330)

  • The option to create custom toolbar buttons is only available for the Folder Browser window. You cannot create custom toolbar buttons for the Document window. (20117)
  • Pressing the Q key in the Folders pane may not take you to the first item with a name that starts with Q. Instead, it may allow you to edit the name of the currently selected item in the Folders pane. (19798)
  • Users denied the Read field access right on all fields in a template might still be able to see the name of the template. Field data remains secure where unauthorized users will not be able to see the field names or field data. However, they may be able to see the name of the template. (19620)
  • If you use the Send to Laserfiche option from within Microsoft Outlook to send an e-mail with a multi-page TIFF attachment, only the first page is created. As a workaround, drag and drop the e-mail with the attachment into Laserfiche. With this action, all the pages of the multi-page TIFF will be successfully created. (19568)
  • When using Laserfiche Scanning, scanned documents that are then processed by OCR may not be automatically added to the indexing queue if the current user inherits the Process feature right from a Laserfiche group. (19301)
  • The Outlook New Message window appears when sending a Laserfiche document as an e-mail attachment. If the main Microsoft Outlook application is also open, you will be unable to toggle between the two Outlook windows. Only the Outlook New Message window will be available while it is open. (18482)
  • The Laserfiche Administration Console only allows one audit report to be opened at a single time. (17733)
  • The Send to Laserfiche feature does not allow you to send documents to Laserfiche without a specified template. You will receive an error 6000 if you attempt to send a document without specifying a template. (17680)
  • An Invalid pointer (-2147467261) error can occur from the Laserfiche Administration Console if you right-click on Index and select Properties without first clicking on the Index node. (17669)
  • Laserfiche Scanning does not take into account that the while the record series code is displayed in the folder tree, it is currently not part of the actual path. (16850)
  • When upgrading the Laserfiche client to version 7.0.3, the installation expects the installation package to be located in the same path where the original installation package was located. This means that you should install from the same CD-ROM drive you used for the original installation. (16825)
  • Migrating documents to another volume from the results of a full-text search will return an "Object locked [7390]" error. (16839)
  • If you have a Microsoft Office program installed, but have never started the program, you may encounter a configuration issue when you start the Laserfiche Client. You will be prompted for the Microsoft Office CD or given an error 1706. As a workaround, simply start any Microsoft Office program.   • When sending e-mail from Outlook to Laserfiche, Laserfiche may not recognize that an e-mail contains an attachment. As a result, the Import Outlook Message dialog box may not list the e-mail's attachment(s). This prevents you from separating the attachment from the e-mail message. Import the e-mail message will always include attachments along with the message. (14299)
  • The Folder Browser window cannot display the creation/modification time for documents or folders created at 12:00:00 AM. The time portion of the creation date column value will be blank for such an entry. (14097)
  • The Folder Browser window cannot display the time portion of a Time/Date field when the time entered is 12:00:00 AM. The time portion of the field column value will be blank for such an entry. (12973)
  • Microsoft Outlook 2002 may display a "Virus attack" message each time Office Integration is used with Outlook. This is default Outlook behavior when adding a menu item to Outlook 2002. This is not a security issue involving a virus. (11762)
  • An electronic document stored in a very long path cannot be opened using its native application. Laserfiche will make a failed attempt to open the electronic file with Snapshot. (11479)
  • Color scanning does not work when using the Kodak scanner i840. Attempting to perform color scanning will generate the following message: cannot decompress image (61080). (13489)
  • Importing a briefcase into a folder without sufficient rights generates the following error: "Invalid Briefcase Files (6396:0)" Laserfiche may become unstable. (852)
  • Adding support for Arabic to Windows may prevent the creation of a new repository. Restart the SQL Server and Laserfiche Server services. (15351)
  • Processing an electronic file with OCR will always process all pages, regardless of whether you have indicated that you would only like to process a select number of pages. (6272)
  • On a Portuguese version of Windows, you may get an error message "Element not found" when trying to view the connected users in the Laserfiche Administration Console. (7324)
  • The use of wildcard characters is not supported when searching integer, long integer, and date fields. (6909)
  • If the folder path specified for archiving audit events does not exist, you may receive a 7361 error. (16030)
  • The Laserfiche Repository Migration wizard requires the Laserfiche 6 repository files to be located on the same computer as the Laserfiche Server (version 7). (16029)
  • An administrator with the Manage Trustees privilege can delete Laserfiche user and group accounts. If this administrator user does not also have the Set Trustee Privileges privilege, deleting all user and group accounts can create a scenario where the remaining administrator is unable to recreate the full set of user accounts. (10881)
  • When indexing large documents, the indexing progress bar may disappear before indexing is actually complete. Attempting to search prior to the completion of indexing may cause the following error: "Search error: Failed to initialize search." (4354)
  • The following characters are unsupported for the name of a template or field: curly braces {}, brackets [], or quotation marks ". (11641)
