Snapshot 7.0

Summary

This article documents the list of changes for Snapshot 7.0.

More Information

See the following list of new features and changes for version 7.0.

  • Laserfiche Snapshot no longer includes LFAssist. Snapshot no longer generates list files that need to be imported by the Laserfiche client through LFAssist. Instead, Laserfiche Snapshot imports the generated images directly into the repository.
  • There is a new button under the Advanced tab of the Snapshot Configuration (Shared Printer) dialog box for reviewing unfinished print jobs. If a document printed over the network does not get imported, this button allows you to review the errors, attempt to import the document again, or delete the print job.
  • Field data entry will now reflect security settings and required status. If you do not have sufficient privileges to modify a field, then it will be read-only. If data must be entered for a particular field, then this will be indicated next to the field name.
  • You can now assign tags to documents.
  • In addition to creating new documents, Laserfiche Snapshot can append pages to an existing document, prepend pages to an existing document, insert pages into an existing document, replace pages in an existing document, or replace an existing document.
  • When updating electronic document pages, the program used to print the document does not need to be closed when starting the Snapshot process.
  • Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows ME are no longer supported operated systems.
