Laserfiche Scanning May Become Unresponsive When Used with a Kofax Scanner.

Summary

Laserfiche Scanning may become unresponsive when you scan using Kofax drivers. Closing the Laserfiche Scanning window does not clear the application from memory. This will prevent you from closing the Laserfiche Client until you manually end the Laserfiche Scanning process.

Resolution 1

This issue is resolved in Laserfiche Scanning 7.1. Please upgrade to the latest version of the Laserfiche Client.

Resolution 2

There is a hotfix available for Laserfiche Scanning 7.0.x. The fix is an updated version of LFKofaxCom.dll. Laserfiche Scanning 7.0.x will now work properly when scanning with Kofax drivers.

To update Laserfiche Scanning

  1. Click here to download a zip file containing an updated version of LFKofaxCom.dll.
  2. Replace the LFKofaxCom.dll found in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Laserfiche\Batch Processor\LFKofaxCom with the LFKofaxCom.dll included in the zip file.
