If you uninstall Quick Fields without uninstalling ScanConnect, then ScanConnect may not be available as a scan engine after you reinstall Quick Fields.

Workaround

Modifying or repairing the ScanConnect installation will not add it back to the list of available scan engines for Quick Fields. You must uninstall and then reinstall ScanConnect to make it available again from Quick Fields.
