Summary
When migrating a repository using the Laserfiche 6 to 7 Migration wizard included with Laserfiche 7.0.x, the Migration Results dialog box may display the following messages:
Access control entry successfully migrated but may require manual verification.
Note: The Laserfiche 6 to 7 Migration wizard included with Laserfiche 7.1 and later no longer displays the previous message. However, the following information still applies.
Cause
Laserfiche security has changed between version 6 and version 7. In a newly migrated repository, the Migration wizard attempts to set up security to match the security setup of the source Laserfiche (version 6) repository. However, due to the differences in the security systems, the migration wizard may be unsure of your exact intent in regards to your Laserfiche (version 6) security settings.
Resolution
After completing the Laserfiche 6 to 7 Migration wizard, log into your newly migrated repository using both the Client and the Administration Console to fully configure the repository's security settings. Make sure to specifically verify that the security settings are correct on the documents or folders listed with the previous warning message in the Migration Results dialog box.
The Laserfiche 6 to 7 Migration wizard may not fully handle migrating security settings where your Laserfiche 6 repository relied on denying an access right through group inheritance. You should specifically verify the security settings for those portions of your Laserfiche tree structure.
