Summary

Deleting a shared Snapshot printer does not remove the printer driver.

If you attempt to reinstall Snapshot, you may receive the following error message:

    The Snapshot printer driver is already installed. Please uninstall all Snapshot printers and remove the printer driver. Then run this installation again.

Workaround

After deleting the Snapshot printer, manually remove the printer driver.

To manually remove the printer driver

  1. Click Start and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Printers and Faxes.
  3. From the File menu, click Server Properties.
  4. In the Print Server Properties dialog box, click the Drivers tab.
  5. Select Snapshot Driver and click Remove.
  6. Click OK to close the dialog box.
