Summary

When performing an upgrade on the Laserfiche installation, you receive the following error message:

Please insert the disk: 1

Cause

Windows Installer expects the installation package for updates to be located in the same path as the original installation package. For example, if you originally installed Laserfiche from D:\ and you are now running the installation from E:\, you will receive this error message.

Resolution

If you encounter this issue while upgrading Laserfiche from versions 7.0.0 or 7.0.1 to 7.0.2, use the 7.0.2 patch files. The patch files are available for direct download to certified resellers. Please contact your certified reseller to obtain a copy of the Laserfiche 7.02 patch.

Workaround 1

Upgrade Laserfiche from the same CD-ROM drive you used for the original installation.

Workaround 2

Uninstall your current installation of Laserfiche before installing the newer version.
