Summary

Laserfiche repositories (version 7) are not displayed when configuring Snapshot or defining document properties.

Cause

The Laserfiche Server broadcasts a list of available repositories. Snapshot receives the broadcast and displays this list in the Repository Login dialog box. If Snapshot cannot receive the broadcast, as is the case for version 7 repositories, it will look for them under the [IPDatabase] section of the LF.ini file.

Workaround

You can manually add a repository by editing [IPDatabase] section of the LF.ini file.

To modify the LF.ini file

1. From a text editor, open the LF.ini file. See the More Information section for information on the location of the LF.ini file for your operating system.
2. Under the [IPDatabase] section, add a line that looks like the following:

   YourRepository=ComputerName

   or

   YourRepository=IP_Address

3. Save the changes.
