Summary

Universal Capture uses the Windows TEMP environment variable. By default, this is set to C:\Windows\TEMP. If your security policy is set so that this folder is not accessible to your users, either grant your users access to that folder, or change the environment variable to use a different path.

Workaround

Edit the TEMP system variable to use a different path.

To modify the TEMP system variable:

1. Click Start and then select Control Panel.
2. Double-click System.
3. In the System Properties dialog box, click the Advanced tab.
4. In the Advanced tab, click Environment Variables.
5. In the Environment Variables dialog box, under System variables, scroll down and select TEMP.
6. Click Edit.
7. In the Edit System Variable dialog box, change the Variable value setting to a path to which users have access.

   Note: Editing this value will make the change effective for all users on the workstation.
