This article documents known issues with the Laserfiche 7.0.1 client.

- If you select a set of thumbnails and then choose to print, that set of thumbnails will not automatically be the specified page range for printing. (21520)
- When using Laserfiche Scanning, scanned documents that are then processed by OCR may not be automatically added to the indexing queue if the current user inherits the Process feature
right from a Laserfiche
group. (19301)
- The 7.0.1 installation expects the installation package to be located in the same path where the original installation package was located. This means that you should install from
the same CD-ROM drive you used for the original installation. (16825)
- Migrating documents to another volume from the results of a full-text search will return an "Object locked [7390]" error. (16839)
- OCRing multiple documents from the Folder Browser will produce garbled text for any documents that are rotated differently from the first document. As a workaround, enable the image
clean-up option to rotate documents automatically. (16841)
- The Laserfiche Repository Migration wizard will load the Attach Repository dialog box even if the migration process is unsuccessful. Click Cancel as there will be no migrated repository
to attach. (14568)
- Adverse behavior can occur when detaching logical volumes. The detach process will not correctly export the physical subvolumes before removing them. This can result in data loss.

- If you have a Microsoft Office program installed, but have never started the program, you may encounter a configuration issue when you start the Laserfiche Client. You will be prompted
for the Microsoft Office CD or given an error 1706. As a workaround, simply start any of the Microsoft Office programs. For more information, please see Microsoft knowledge base article:

- When sending e-mail from Outlook to Laserfiche, Laserfiche may not recognize that an e-mail contains an attachment. The Import Outlook Message dialog box may not list the e-mail's
attachment(s). This prevents you from separating the attachment from the e-mail message. Import the e-mail message will always include attachments along with the message. (14299)
- The Folder Browser window cannot display the creation time for documents or folders created at 12:00:00 AM. The time portion of the creation date column value will be blank for such
an entry. (14097)
- The Folder Browser window cannot display the time portion of a Time/Date field when the time entered is 12:00:00 AM. The time portion of the field column value will be blank for
such an entry.

- Microsoft Outlook 2002 may display a "Virus attack" message each time Office Integration is used with Outlook. This is default Outlook behavior when adding a menu item to Outlook
2002. This is not a security issue involving a virus. (11762)
- Importing an .AFP file can cause Laserfiche to become non-responsive and timeout. This requires the user to manually end the task. (13813)
- An electronic document stored in a very long path cannot be opened using its native application. Laserfiche will make a failed attempt to open the electronic file with Snapshot.

- Color scanning does not work when using the Kodak scanner i840. Attempting to perform color scanning will generate the following message: cannot decompress image (61080). (13489)
- If you have two Laserfiche Servers attached in the Administration Console and you are using the .NET Remoting registry key, then they will both display the license information and
repositories for the first Laserfiche Server. (14931)
- Importing a briefcase into a folder without sufficient rights generates the following error: "Invalid Briefcase Files(6396:0)" Laserfiche may become unstable. (852)
- Moving the processing dialog box when exporting a volume may cause Laserfiche to become non-responsive. (1778)
- Adding support for Arabic to Windows may prevent the creation of a new repository. Restart the SQL Server and Laserfiche Server services. (15351)
- Processing an electronic file with OCR will always process all pages, regardless of whether you have indicated that you would only like to process a select number of pages.

- On a Portuguese version of Windows, you may get an error message "Element not found" when trying to view the connected users in the Laserfiche Administration Console. (7324)
- The use of wildcard characters is not supported when searching integer, long integer, and date fields. (6909)
- If the folder path specified for an archiving audit events does not exist, you may receive a 7361 error. (16030)
- The Laserfiche Repository Migration wizard requires the Laserfiche 6 repository files to be located on the same computer as the Laserfiche Server (version 7). (16029)
- An administrator with the Manage Trustees privilege can delete Laserfiche user and group accounts. If this administrator user does not also have the Set Trustee Privileges privilege,
deleting all user and group accounts can create a scenario where the remaining administrator is unable to recreate the full set of user accounts. (10881)
- When indexing large documents, the indexing progress bar may disappear before indexing is actually complete. Attempting to search prior to the completion of indexing may cause the
following error: "Search error: Failed to initialize search." (4354)
- The following characters are unsupported for the name of a template or field: curly braces {}, brackets [], or quotation marks ". (11641)
- The Laserfiche Repository Migration wizard does not detach a database if the repository cannot be attached to the Laserfiche Server. (12144)
