When Added as a Snap-on, the Laserfiche Administration Console May Not Display Certain Check Boxes.

Summary

When you add the Laserfiche Administration Console as a snap-on in a Microsoft Management Console window, the volume security check boxes may not display.

Workaround

Save the Console window and open the saved MMC file.

To save a console window:

  1. From the File menu, click Save as.
  2. Specify a desired file name and location and click Save.

Use Windows Explorer to browse to the location where you saved the MMC file. Double-click the MMC file to open the console.

To recreate the issue:

  1. Click Start and then click Run.
  2. In the Run dialog box, type the following and click OK to load a Microsoft Management Console window.

  3. From the File menu, click Add/Remove Snap-in.
  4. In the Standalone tab of the Add/Remove Snap-in dialog box, click Add.
  5. In the Add Standalone Snap-in dialog box, select Laserfiche Admin Console and click Add.
  6. Click Close to close the Add Standalone Snap-in dialog box.
  7. Click OK to close the Add/Remove Snap-in dialog box.
  8. Expand the Laserfiche Administration Console node, select a Laserfiche Server, and log into a Laserfiche repository.
  9. Click the Volumes node and select a volume.
  10. From the Action menu, click Security.
  11. Notice that the Current access rights section does not display the needed check boxes.
