Summary

Laserfiche 7 can be installed on a computer that already has Laserfiche 6 installed, as long as you do not install the version 7 Client or Server to the same location that version 6 is located. For example, if your version 6 Client is located in C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\LFW, do not install the version 7 Client in the same folder. The default installation locations have changed, so you should not have to worry about doing this accidentally. Both the Laserfiche 6 and Laserfiche 7 Clients and Servers can be installed on the same computer at the same time. However, You cannot have both Servers running at the same time on the same computer.

Note: Do not install the Laserfiche Client 7 on a computer that contains Laserfiche 6 local repositories. If you do this, you will be unable to access your local repositories. If you must install the Laserfiche Client 7 on a computer with Laserfiche 6 local repositories, you should first migrate any of the local repositories to version 7.

If you installed the Laserfiche Client 7.0.2 prior to converting your Laserfiche 6 local repositories to Laserfiche 7 repositories, you can use the Laserfiche 6 to 7 Migration wizard afterwards to migrate your repositories version 6 to version 7.
