Import Agent 6

Summary

This article documents the changes in Import Agent 6.02.

More Information

Import Agent Changes:

  • Import Agent can now be configured to reserve a full licensed connection on the Laserfiche Server. This ensures that Import Agent will always be able to import documents into a Laserfiche repository, regardless of the number of users logged into it. However, by reserving a full licensed connection, your installation will have one less full connection available for use by your end-users.
  • The Count token can now be configured to always generate a number with a certain width. If a number does not have sufficient digits to satisfy the width, then leading zeros will be placed in front of it. For example, if you set the starting number for the Count token at 00098, then the subsequent numbers generated by the Count token would be 00099, 00100, and 00101. (7746)
  • Previously, list files (.lst) would be imported upon discovery. If supporting files were not already present, then they would not be imported into the repository. Import Agent will now wait until all files required by the list file are present before processing the list file. (9431)
  • Previously, the Count token could not exceed 32,770. The Count token will now support numbers up to 2,147,483,647. (8620)
  • The creation of a new monitored directory would possibly overwrite an existing monitored directory. Creating a monitored directory will no longer overwrite existing monitored directories. (8392)
  • Under certain circumstances, the Count token would be incorrectly incremented. The Count token will now only increment whenever it is used to import a file into the repository. (8145)
  • If a connection to the Laserfiche Server could not be established during a scheduled time, then files in the monitored directory would not be imported. Files will now be imported into the repository as soon as a connection can be established to the Laserfiche Server. (7984)
  • The File name token ($Filename$) would be replaced by the full path to the file. The File name token will now only report the name of the file imported into the repository. (7087)
  • Folders contained in a monitored directory would be created in the Laserfiche repository. A Laserfiche folder will no longer be created for a subfolder of a monitored directory. (6767)
  • Briefcases (version 6) can now be imported into a Laserfiche repository. (5318)
