Summary

The Laserfiche 6 Client can import a Laserfiche 6 briefcase into a Laserfiche 7 repository. However, the Laserfiche 6 Client cannot import briefcases with document or folder names containing a backslash into Laserfiche 7 repositories.

Resolution

There are two possible resolutions to this issue. Perform one of the following:

• Use a Laserfiche 7 Client to import the desired briefcase into the Laserfiche 7 repository.
• Rename or remove any documents containing backslashes in their names, re-export the briefcase, then import the briefcase into the Laserfiche 7 repository.
