Viewing or Rotating Certain Images Can Shut Down the Client Unexpectedly.

Summary

The Laserfiche Client may shut down unexpectedly when you view certain rotated images. The Client may also shut down unexpectedly when you view certain images and choose to rotate the images.

Cause

This issue is caused by the Snowbound image display drivers used by Laserfiche.

Resolution

Laserfiche 6.11 includes new LF.ini settings that resolve this issue. Please upgrade to the latest version of Laserfiche 6 to take advantage of these settings.

To add the CustomDisplay setting to the LF.ini:

  1. From a text editor, open the LF.ini. See the More Information section for information on the Location of the LF.ini files for your operating system.
  2. Under the [Settings] section, add the following lines:

    CustomDisplay1=1
    CustomDisplay2=1
