Summary

It is possible to install multiple scan engines on the same workstation. However, there is no user interface to toggle between them.

Workaround

Edit the LF.ini to select which scanning engine to use.

1. From a text editor, open the LF.ini file.
2. Under the [Options] section, look for a line starting with "ScanEngine=."
3. Change this line to select a different scan engine.
   • For ScanConnect, the line should look like:

     ScanEngine=LFWISISN.exe

   • For Kofax, the line should look like:

     ScanEngine=LFKOFAX.exe

   • For TWAIN, the line should look like:

     ScanEngine=LFTWAIN.exe

   • For Universal Capture, the line should look like:

     ScanEngine=LFUNVCPT.dll

4. Save the LF.INI file.
