Summary

When you attempt to OCR a document, you may receive the following error messsage:

Error -2147221005

Cause

The I.R.I.S OCR engine requires a .DLL file that is not registered.

Resolution

Manually register the LFIrisCom.dll file.

To register LFIrisCom.dll

1. Click Start and then click Run.
2. Under the Open option, type the following:

   regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Laserfiche\Batch Processor\LFIris\LFIrisCom.dll"

3. Click OK when the RegSvr32 dialog box appears after the .DLL is successfully registered.
