This article describes how to detach server and local databases.

Resolution

Detach a database by using the LaserFiche Administration Console.

To detach a database using the LaserFiche Administration Console:

1. Click Start and select All Programs.
2. Select LaserFiche and click LaserFiche Administration Console.
3. For server databases, expand the computer on which the database resides and then select the database. For local databases, expand (Local) and then select the database.
4. From the Action menu, click Detach.

More Information

Detaching a database through the LaserFiche Administration Console detaches the database from both the LaserFiche Server and Microsoft SQL Server. Once a database has been detached, it will not be broadcasted by the LaserFiche Server. Additionally, the SQL Server data files associated with that database will no longer be locked.
