Summary

Redactions and highlights made directly to an image will not affect the associated OCR text.

Cause

The Blackout Image and Highlight Image options only affect the images on which they are placed. However, redactions and highlights made to the text using the Blackout Text and Highlight Text options can affect the associated image.

Resolution

If the document has both an image and associated text, use the Blackout Text or Highlight Text option to make redactions and highlights simultaneously to both the text and the image. Clicking the Blackout Text or Highlight Text toolbar button brings up the Select Text dialog box. Make sure the Add to image check box is selected.
