Summary

The Scan dialog box defaults to the Settings tab when opened. You may change this behavior to default to the Fields tab or the Process tab by editing the LF.ini files.

Resolution

The following instructions will step you through how to set the tab that will be displayed when the Scan dialog box is loaded.

To change the default tab of the Scan dialog box:

1. From a text editor, open the LF.ini files. See the More Information section for information on the location of the LF.ini files for your operating system.
2. Under the [DatabaseSettings] section, look for a line that starts with "DefaultScanTab=". Create or modify this line using the following table as a guide.

   1: Settings tab (default)

   2: Fields tab

   3: Process tab

   Example: To set the Fields tab as the default, the line should read:

   DefaultScanTab=2
