Summary

This article provides instructions on how to change the default format for images sent through the LaserFiche E-mail plug-in.

Resolution

You may only want to send attachments in a particular format, and therefore want the appropriate one set as your default image format in the LaserFiche E-mail Plug-in dialog box. This setting can be changed from the LF.ini files.

To change the default image format for LaserFiche E-mail Plug-in:

  1. From a text editor, open the LF.ini files. See the More Information section for information on the location of the LF.ini files for your operating system.
  2. Under the [LFEMAIL] section, look for a line that starts with "Format = ". Modify the line to the desired format ID. See the following list for the supported formats and the corresponding ID's:
    0: TIFF G3
    1: TIFF G4
    2: PCX
    3: Compress BMP
    4: Raw BMP
    5: JPEG
    6: PDF
For example, Format = 6 means that PDF will always display as the default image format.
