When you attempt to scan, you may receive the following error message:
The most common cause for this particular error is attempting to use a non-supported scanner with LaserFiche.
There are three workarounds to this issue. Perform one of the following:
- Obtain a supported scanner. Contact Technical Support to see if your scanner is supported.
- If obtaining a new scanner is not a viable solution, you can still use your scanner outside of LaserFiche to first scan any documents. After scanning all documents, you can then
manually import the files into the LaserFiche database.
- Start the LaserFiche Client and log into the appropriate database.
- From the File menu, click Import.
- Select the files you want to import and click Import.
- You can also use LaserFiche Universal Capture or LaserFiche Quick Fields to import the scanned files into the LaserFiche database.
