Advanced Audit Trail can track and record the pages that are printed by a user.

To utilize this feature, make sure the users you wish to track are members of a group that has to provide a reason when exporting data. This will force the user to provide a reason for exporting or printing items from a LaserFiche database. Audit Trail will then track the reason why an item is exported or printed and the pages that were exported or printed.

To force members of a group to provide a reason for exporting:

1. From the Security menu in the LaserFiche Client, click User Manager.
2. Click on the Groups tab, select the appropriate group, and click on Edit Group.
3. Click on the Audit Trail tab. Make sure at least one reason is recorded in the Allowed reasons for exporting section. Whenever members of that group print or export, they will need to select a reason assigned to one of the groups to which the user is a member.
