Summary

Structural changes made to a template are not automatically applied to document classes or processed documents. This may have varying effects, including field data loss, depending on the type of change made to the template.

Workaround

If the template has been updated since the document class was created, you will need to manually update it.

To manually update the template assigned to a document class:

1. Expand Class Manager.
2. Expand the appropriate document class.
3. Click Document Properties.
4. From the Document Properties task pane, click Modify destination properties.
5. In step 2 (Template Selection), make sure the appropriate template is still selected.
6. Proceed through the wizard. Upon the completion of the wizard, the template assigned to the document class will be updated.

Note: Do not change the template if you wish to retain your current field data and zoom fields.
