Data Extracted From an Image is Lost When the Source Page is Deleted.

Quick Fields 6.1

Summary

Using the Page Removal process to delete a page from a document would cause the loss of the data extracted from the deleted page. For example, if a Zone OCR process reads from the first page of a document and that page is deleted by a Page Removal process, then the Zone OCR value would be lost.

Cause

This issue occurs because after the page is removed, the subsequent page now becomes that page. The process then extracts new values from the page overwriting the previous values from the deleted page. In keeping with the previous example, after the first page is deleted by the Page Removal process, the second page of the document is now the first page of the document. The Zone OCR process extracts data from the new page one of the document and overwrites any extracted data from the previous page one.

Resolution

Install LaserFiche Quick Fields version 6.2 or later.
