Summary
Attempting to simultaneously open multiple electronic documents in document view may cause most of the files to be opened in the Windows application associated with the file type. This issue only occurs when electronic documents have been set to open in their native application (Electronic Documents Options dialog box).
Resolution
Install LaserFiche Client, Desktop, Executive, Intuition, MinuteFile, Notebook, Personal Edition, Plus, or Viewer version 6.03 or higher.
Network Installations: Install LaserFiche Server version 6.03 or higher.
Note: If you do not wish to upgrade LaserFiche, then you should refer to the workarounds.

This issue was initially fixed in version 6.01.
Workaround 1
The viewing mode can be toggled between the associated Windows application and the standard document display by holding down the Ctrl key while opening an electronic document. When the mode has been set to open electronic documents using the associated application and you would like to view it in document view, then you will need to open each electronic document individually while holding down the Ctrl key.
Workaround 2
You may also change the default mode, so that the default mode for opening electronic documents is the standard document window. In the latter case, you will not need to hold down the Ctrl key while opening the electronic document that you would like to view in the document window.
