LaserFiche E-mail (version 6) allows documents to be sent in PDF format. This article will explain how this can be performed.

The following instructions specify how LaserFiche documents can be sent as PDF attachments.

To e-mail a document as a PDF:

  1. Choose the desired document(s), electronic document(s), or batch(es) by either selecting them from the folder browser, selecting them from the search results, or by opening a standard document for viewing.
  2. From the Tools menu, select Send Document(s). The LaserFiche E-mail Plug-in dialog box will appear.
  3. Under Format, choose PDF to determine the format in which the images will be sent.
  4. Click OK.
  5. The Choose Profiles dialog box will appear. Select the profile associated with the e-mail address and the e-mail application through which you would like to send the attachments.
  6. LaserFiche E-mail will log into your MAPI-compatible e-mail system. If it cannot log in, you will be prompted for login information.
  7. Your MAPI-compatible e-mail system will open an e-mail message window which will contain the selected attachments. Fill in the recipient’s address, the subject, compose the message, and then send the e-mail.

Note: When sending images as PDF files, keep in mind that the recipient must have a PDF viewer to view the sent images.
