A "32011: Attachment Not Found." Error Occurs When Sending a Document Via E-mail

Summary

When you send a document via an e-mail message using the LaserFiche E-mail Plug-in, you may receive the following error message:

    32011: Attachment not found.

Cause

This error can occur because a document name contains characters that cannot be used in a Windows file name. For example, when the LaserFiche document name contains backslashes, you will receive this error.

Workaround

A workaround to this issue is to rename the affected document prior to sending it as an e-mail attachment.

To send documents affected by this issue:

  1. Rename the document in question. When renaming the document, you should avoid using the following characters: \ / : * ? " < > |.
  2. Send the document via the LaserFiche E-mail Plug-in
  3. Rename the document back to the original name.
