Summary

Users that have not been granted the Delete feature right will not be allowed to publish databases.

Workaround

If you do not wish to grant the Delete feature right to a user that will publish LaserFiche databases, then you will need to perform this workaround. The workaround is to give the supervisor right to the desired user and then login as that user. Log the user out and then remove the Supervisor right from that user. The desired user will now be able to publish databases.

To allow users without the Delete feature right to publish databases:

1. Start the LaserFiche Client.
2. Log into the desired database as an administrator.
3. From the Security Menu, click User Manager.
4. In the Users tab, select the user that will be publishing LaserFiche databases.
5. Click Edit User.
6. Mark the Supervisor option.
7. Click OK to save your changes.
8. Log out of the database.
9. Repeat steps 2 - 5. Make sure that you do not log in as the user selected in step 4.
10. Clear the Supervisor option.
11. Click OK to save your changes.
