Summary

When you connect to a database, you may receive the following error message:

2012: Incorrect connection file

Cause

The serial numbers in the connection file do not match with the serial numbers of the LaserFiche server and WebLink server.

Resolution

Use the .con file provided with the WebLink license disk to synchronize the LaserFiche Server and WebLink Server serial numbers.

To install the WebLink license file:

1. Locate the license disk.
2. Copy the .con file from the license disk to the WebLink installation directory. The default location is C:\Program Files\LaserFiche\WebLink.

Note: WebLink is only serialized to operate with specific LaserFiche Servers as defined in the connection file. If the error persists, please contact your certified dealer in order to verify the validity of your license files.
